Pedestrian Sundays. Who knew? Apparently not us but we'll blame that on living uptown and not often wandering downtown streets on weekends. We both love Kensington (what Torontonian doesn't), for it's unique charm, stylish but sometimes questionable characters, vintage stores, vendors, food and so much more. Every last Sunday of the month during summer is pedestrian day. No cars are allowed, the storefronts pour out onto the road, and people join together to enjoy everything the market has to offer. We took some pictures of things that caught our eye, hope you enjoy them! This Sunday Funday was one well spent.

For All Your Festival Needs

OK friends, so went a little crazy with creating looks for festival wear... hope these inspire your summer outfits! We're off to Osheaga in just 8 short days.

Thompson Hotel

It's official. Torontonians have emerged from hibernation and are now polluting the streets. Showing off pale skin in short/tee combos (possibly a little prematurely) is now a thing. We rushed down to King St W after work today to enjoy the warm breeze and a summer-ish atmosphere that was flooding the streets. Neither of us had ever been to the Thompson Hotel rooftop (how?) so we decided we'd pop in for a visit and maybe a Pinot Grigio or two. The overall layout was spectacular for an evening, post-work beverage. Although the outdoor pool portion was closed, we could envision a fantastic photo shoot occurring there in the foreseeable future. For a list of top ten rooftop patios in Toronto, this one makes the cut!

As far as outfit details go, let us just say that this Zara skort has had an elongated waiting time in both of our closets. Naturally, the first day it was above -20 degrees outside it made it's first appearance. Kendra's matching ensemble is a favourite and also has a unique story of it's own. The Topshop jacket was a purchase from the UK store a while back and coincidentally Wilfred made shorts out of the exact same material. Okay, not that unique but still, magic! We love this combination.

Summerhill

We attempted to patio (yes, it's a verb here) this afternoon, perhaps a little prematurely... It all started out with a walk down to Summerhill. We came upon Terroni's location on Price street, which is a favourite restaurant of ours, and couldn't help but notice how enticing the rooftop patio was. Or could be, a month from now on a hot summer night. Nevertheless, in our wild manhunt for the last remaining glisten of sunlight, we were able to find some well-lit patches of sidewalk to capture our outfits for today. BANG! Now that we have your undivided attention, here are some details on what we wore.

G'DAY!

Skywalk

Have you ever wondered how to spice up a rather dreary, industrialized back drop (probably not)? Well, these pants are the answer! Our love relationship with them came into play on a sunny afternoon shopping in Queen West. Brandy Melville is a great store for anything laid-back and californian. It's also where we discovered these heart-eyed, smiley-face emojicon worthy pantaloons. Honestly, nothing is more enjoyable to wear on a significantly "gale force wind" kind of day.

Some sort of blog angel (if such a thing exists), sent us aimlessly wandering through the Toronto skywalk that brought to light this beautiful outdoor walkway. Dimly lit, yet coincidentally appropriate for our attire, it just seemed to work.
We snapped some shots of Kendra at the tunnel on lower simcoe and front. Oddly desolate due to a Union subway closure, it was a peaceful place for an evening shoot.
Overall, our unexpected Sunday evening turned out to be quite marvelous and we couldn't be happier with the outcome.
Happy Sunday Fun-day friends, thanks for checking in!

Balfour Park

It's getting to be that time of year where we are trying to be optimistic and put away the parkas. By this point, we have run out of winter outerwear to attempt to build outfits around. Today we decided to brave the cold, don some lighter layers, and wander around the Yonge & St Clair neighbourhood. We arrived at this park, with its entryway filled with recycling bins, and ended up being so glad we didn't judge a book by it's cover (or rather, a park by it's entrance). We walked down the pathway into this serene winter wonderland and were so pleasantly surprised with what we had found! As for what we're wearing....
Dayle: The jeans were the end of result of her last payday. They are probably now her favourite pair. The crop top options this spring will be endless.
Hat: Gant, cape: Forever 21, sweater: H&M, jeans: Topshop, boots: Aldo
Kendra: Ridiculous furry hat was a vintage gift from her mother (who knows her too well). The fact that it looks great against the snow was just an added bonus.
