Cherry Blossom Girls

If anyone was wondering where half the population of Toronto went today, the answer is High Park. Although we had in mind a beautiful photo shoot with ourselves against an endless backdrop of cherry blossom trees, that was an unrealistic expectation we quickly realized once we got there! It was hard to find a patch of grass to photograph let alone an entire tree. None the less, WHAT a beautiful weekend! May 5th and we were already outside enjoying the scorching heat. Luckily we could cool off by this ravine and later quench our thirst on a rooftop patio with a pitcher of strawberry and peach sangria. Sunday never tasted so sweet!

Skywalk

Have you ever wondered how to spice up a rather dreary, industrialized back drop (probably not)? Well, these pants are the answer! Our love relationship with them came into play on a sunny afternoon shopping in Queen West. Brandy Melville is a great store for anything laid-back and californian. It's also where we discovered these heart-eyed, smiley-face emojicon worthy pantaloons. Honestly, nothing is more enjoyable to wear on a significantly "gale force wind" kind of day.

Some sort of blog angel (if such a thing exists), sent us aimlessly wandering through the Toronto skywalk that brought to light this beautiful outdoor walkway. Dimly lit, yet coincidentally appropriate for our attire, it just seemed to work.
We snapped some shots of Kendra at the tunnel on lower simcoe and front. Oddly desolate due to a Union subway closure, it was a peaceful place for an evening shoot.
Overall, our unexpected Sunday evening turned out to be quite marvelous and we couldn't be happier with the outcome.
Happy Sunday Fun-day friends, thanks for checking in!

BWV

KENDRA: I spent the day wandering Bloor West Village due to the weather being kind of slightly warm... Did some errands and then tirelessly searched for a backdrop that wouldn't show dead trees and dirty streets in it! Did I succeed? I was pretty fond of this mural decorating the outside of a pizza place. I was feeling spring-like so wanted to wear a little white-on-white. I think white-on-white is going to be one of my favourite combos (if you can call it that) for spring/summer! It feels kind of simple yet refreshing. I'm also wearing a denim jacket from Chinese website UDOBUY, but unfortunately it's nearly impossible to shop from and to be perfectly honest I'm shocked I even received my order. Nevertheless, I love the jacket and it's the perfect casual layering piece. I can't wait to wear it with more dressed-up looks to ground them into a more laid-back territory.  I resent when my outfits ever look too "done"and this jacket could help me out in any sort of sartorial predicament like that. Body-con skirt suddenly becomes casual street wear when paired with this denim topper! It's a delicate balance.

Balfour Park

It's getting to be that time of year where we are trying to be optimistic and put away the parkas. By this point, we have run out of winter outerwear to attempt to build outfits around. Today we decided to brave the cold, don some lighter layers, and wander around the Yonge & St Clair neighbourhood. We arrived at this park, with its entryway filled with recycling bins, and ended up being so glad we didn't judge a book by it's cover (or rather, a park by it's entrance). We walked down the pathway into this serene winter wonderland and were so pleasantly surprised with what we had found! As for what we're wearing....
Dayle: The jeans were the end of result of her last payday. They are probably now her favourite pair. The crop top options this spring will be endless.

Kendra: Ridiculous furry hat was a vintage gift from her mother (who knows her too well). The fact that it looks great against the snow was just an added bonus.
