Distillery District Dinner Date

The Distillery District is a backdrop that we have been wanting to use since our blog's very inception. What could be a more charming setting than cobblestone streets and historic brick buildings? It's easy to forget you're even in Toronto. Couple that with some great patios and little boutiques and you've got all the makings of a great summer evening. I was so excited when OpenTable contacted us to collaborate on a dinner date outfit post because I immediately knew where I wanted to head to. El Catrin in the Distillery District is a spot I had heard such great things about but hadn't gotten around to trying myself yet, so I made the reservation via OpenTable and started pulling a look together! I wanted to go for a simple yet chic dinner outfit, so I settled on a floaty dress and pointed ankle boots and added some luxe accessories (like Karen Walker tortoiseshell sunnies and Alexander Wang 'Marion' handbag) to elevate the look. Luckily the evening was perfect to sit out on the trendy Mexican restaurant's patio and sample their extensive list of margaritas and mezcalteles (favourite being the Miel Quemada). A leisurely dinner comprised of guacamole (made right at the table), tacos, and ceviche followed… so delicious! Authentic Mexican cuisine never fails and El Catrin gets it right with every dish. A round of tequila shots arrived to finish off a great meal, much to my delight. I anxiously await my next visit to the Distillery District so I can spend more time basking on the patio with great eats and drinks all around!
