I spent a wonderful week gallivanting around the southern Pacific coast of Mexico... Ixtapa/Zihuatenejo, specifically. The tropical flora, endless sunshine, azure waters, and rugged terrain this part of the country boasts left me completely enamored and thinking this may be one of my favourite Mexican destinations yet. Days were spent on the beaches (as seen above) lounging, kayaking, eating guacamole, scrambling over rocky cliffs to examine tidal pools, swimming, and sipping mai tais and coconut water. We also ventured into the charmingly eclectic town of Zihuatenejo and took in the sights at the market, with vendors selling fruit, crafts, seafood, etc., and strolled through the winding streets off of the main seaside strip lined with many other artisan shops and restaurants. During the trip I got a chance to debut my billowy white side-slit midi tank from Zara, which paired easily with strappy buckled white heels. If you ask me, there's no better time to go white-on-white than in a tropical location! Daytime attire was quite a bit more relaxed, so black linen overalls, straw ballcaps, and striped crop tops fit the bill. Also, I was finally able to showcase my new favourite bikini, a cross back tie-dye halter from Made by Dawn... Such a gorgeous swimsuit! The blue tones and silhouette feel so fresh and now. I was able to wear a few other items I had been saving for sunshine as well... coming up in the next few posts!
